GAS MAINTENANCE SERVICE ENGINEER

Role:  Gas Maintenance Service Engineer
Division: Flamefast UK Ltd
Location:  UK-wide Travel (Monday - Thursday)
Job Type:  Full-time
Salary:  Competitive, based on experience

Job  overview: 

We are looking for a
Gas Maintenance Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in the servicing and maintenance of gas forges, hearths, and safety devices within educational institutions. This role is ideal for someone with experience in planned preventative maintenance, gas fault diagnosis, and breakdown repair who is eager to deliver high-quality service while representing our company with professionalism and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance on gas forges, hearths, and safety devices in the Design Technology and Science departments.
  • Diagnose and repair gas faults and breakdowns in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain a high standard of presentation, including wearing designated clothing/uniform at all times.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with onsite clients and staff.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage and organize workload efficiently, including working away from home and extended hours if required.
  • Provide clear and professional communication, both written and verbal, with clients and team members.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid commercial gas safe qualifications including COCNPILS, ICPNILS, TPCPI, and TPCPIA.
  • Proven experience in gas maintenance and repair, preferably within educational settings.
  • Ability to work away from home (Monday to Thursday) and manage extended hours when necessary.
  • Current driving license and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
  • Clear DBS check.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
